Wallace State students are served by an award-winning and student-centered faculty and staff who are masters of their crafts.
They are here to assist students in every aspect of the college experience.
At present, the Rochester Community School District includes 523 acres of property encompassing 66 square miles primarily within the City of Rochester, the City of Rochester Hills, and Oakland Charter Township.
The district employs approximately 1,500 staff members.
With thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools and one alternative high school, nearly 15,000 students residing in the Greater Rochester area have the advantage of receiving a world-class education from Michigan’s premier school district.
Programs and services include: Pre-Kindergarten classes for children, ages 3 and 4 years; comprehensive K-12 curriculum; adult education courses; special education for ages 0-26; award-winning art and music programs; before and after-school child care; and community enrichment programs.
In 2016, the leadership team which represents all schools and departments across the district expanded upon the strategic plan by further defining what it means to put our beliefs into action.
Their work is reflected in the video, which was shown to all staff members in August 2017.
In 1916, the first high school was built on the same site, which currently serves as the Administration Building.
